GENERAL OPINION

We all agree on one fundamental point: putting an end to this devastating issue is a responsibility that falls upon society as a whole. In most cases, victims are unable to confront it alone due to various reasons, whether it be fear, manipulation, or a tendency to turn a blind eye. Furthermore, some of us believe that abusers are the result of a lack of awareness of societal values, poor upbringing, or having experienced or witnessed violence themselves. However, addressing this issue is far from simple. Within this group, there were differing perspectives: one suggestion was to mandate therapy for the aggressor in an effort to prevent their anger from taking control, while another proposed more direct action, including allowing authorities to monitor individuals if there is suspicion that they might be victims or perpetrators of gender-based violence.
